Himesh Reshammiya – Amazing Singer and Music Director of Bollywood

Everyone is aware of who Himesh Reshammiya is. If not, he is a famous Bollywood singer as well as a music director. There was a time when the whole Bollywood music industry was filled with Himesh Reshammiya songs. But today, the singer has solely moved to the music direction only. It is very rare that people get to hear his voice.

Early Life 

Himesh Reshammiya started out in 2003 with the background vocals to the movie Zameen. And he made his singing debut with the movie Aashiq Banaya Aapne. The whole music album of the movie was such a huge hit, that he garnered immediate popularity for his music. He composed as well as sung the songs of that movie.

He has also released several albums like Aap Ka Suroor which were huge blockbusters. It is in this album only that people saw the popular actress Deepika Padukone for the 1^st time on-screen. He gave chance to several young models to feature in his various songs. Most of those songs catered to emotional genre. And all of them were craze among the people.

Not just a singer, he has also been a popular music director, actor, and producer. He has acted in movies like Karzz, Aap Ka Suroor, and many more. But he failed to achieve stardom through his movies. And hence, he dropped the idea of doing much movies and focused on singing and direction.

Himesh Reshammiya and Emraan Hashmi

One of the super hit actor-singer Jodi of late 2000s was of Himesh Reshammiya and Emraan Hashmi. Himesh has given background voice to numerous songs of Hashmi, all of which were blockbusters. Some of those include Ashiq Banaya Aapne, Aap Ka Suroor, Jhalak Dikhlaja, Afsana Banake, Dil Diya, and the list continues.

Whether his other songs achieved popularity or not, these songs used to be played on loop on every playlist. For each of Emraan Hashmi’s movie, Himesh used to do his playback singing. They felt so compatible that after few years when somebody else gave voice to Hashmi, everything felt out of place.

Surgery and Present life 

But everything was not a cake walk for Himesh Reshammiya. He got a lot of criticism for his voice. Even though his songs were super hit, his voice was highly criticized by many people. According to them, he sings from his nose, which does not sound pleasant at all.

Because of all this, he got his nose operated, pose which he had to take break for a long time from singing. But even after his recovery, he did not continue the singing career with much enthusiasm. He moved solely to music direction. Today, he is one of the most popular music directors of Bollywood. He has given music for many movies like Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Kick, Special 26, Son of Sardaar, Bol Bachchan, Bodyguard, and many more movies are still under process.

He is also a judge in numerous reality shows like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge. During the reality shows, he also used to mentor numerous upcoming singers. In his personal life as well, he is going through a lot of turbulence, owing to the divorce with his wife Komal.
